Fuelled by environmentally-friendly bioethanol, the fully integrated, multifunctional design means homeowners can enjoy the ambiance and tranquility of a real fire without the inconvenience of burning real wood – that means no more embers, ash and soot to clean up.
In fact, with no installation or building works required, you simply unpack, put into position and enjoy the ambiance that comes with an authentic EcoSmart Fire.
Fitted with EcoSmart’s AB8 burner, the Manhattan is fuelled by clean-burning e-NRG bioethanol and will provide over eight hours of warmth, and ambience, along with a mesmerising flame.

Our finishes are extremely durable and weatherproof. We use a blend of green cement, recycled materials, and Fluid Concrete Technology in our lightweight concrete finish which resists scratches, stains, mould, and mildew. Our wood tables are made from Grade A teak, a naturally durable wood that withstands extreme weather without losing its strength or beauty.

Our collection has been thoroughly tested against a number of global standards and is O-TL Listed in accordance with UL 1370 in the USA, certified in accordance with EN16647 in Europe and the UK, and satisfies the ACCC Safety Mandate for Australia.

View AllWill my EcoSmart Fire heat the room?
All EcoSmart Fires are ventless, meaning all the heat stays in the room rather than escaping up a flue. Increased heat retention means increased fuel efficiency and a better chance of staying warm. While providing warmth, EcoSmart Fires are not designed to be used as a room’s primary heat source. Please see the burner section in our manual for full details.
How long will my ethanol fireplace burn?
Burn times for our ethanol fireplaces vay based on flame size and fuel capacity of the burner. EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces will burn between 8-13 hours when full.
Do ethanol fireplaces give off heat?
EcoSmart Fire’s indoor ethanol fireplaces are ventless, meaning all the heat stays in the room rather than escaping up a flue or chimney like it would with a traditional wood burning fireplace. Increased heat retention also means increased fuel efficiency. EcoSmart Fire’s collection of ethanol fireplaces offer a heat output ranging from 5,000 BTU - 20,000 BTU’s.
Why use bioethanol?
Bioethanol, a renewable energy, is the cleanest and most efficient fuel on the market, which means there are no emissions and no soot or ash to clean up.
How does an ethanol fireplace work?
EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces are self-contained, burning bioethanol fuel that is housed within the stainless steel container. A flame regulator controls and stabilizes the flame. With a designated filling area, and easy shut off mechanism, you can ignite the flame and turn it off in a matter of seconds. View this quick demonstration video to help illustrate the process.
Do bioethanol fireplaces produce heat?
Yes, although it does depend upon the size of the fireplace and also the size of the room itself. But a fire of an appropriate size can produce a good level of heat when considered properly in terms of its actual output and how it is positioned in the space. Bioethanol fires are a secondary source of heat that deliver a myriad of lifestyle benefits that can’t be achieved from primary heat sources such as radiators or reverse cycle air conditioning.
Does using a bioethanol fire allow me to position it effectively in different areas of the room?
Potentially yes, as there are no connections needed. EcoSmart Fires are designed to provide flexibility - and if it’s a freestanding model it can be positioned almost anywhere.
How long does it take to assemble?
There is virtually no assembly. Our Freestanding and Fireplace Grates ranges are designed to be placed into the desired location, secured into position, and operated immediately. Our Fireplace Inserts are designed to slot into place, secured and built around with your preferred finish – again a quick and easy installation – so your builder or interior designer will love you!
The longest part of the setup process is trying to figure out where you want to place it – be sure it complies with our clearance requirements particularly with regard to moving objects like curtains, tree branches and so forth.
